Haverhill, Ma. – Oliver B. St. Laurent 87 died Tuesday January 31, 2012 at the Haverhill Crossing surrounded by his loving family.
Oliver was a longtime Methuen resident who was born in Lawrence, Ma. and a graduate of Central Catholic High School class of “1942”.
For many years Oliver was a Route Salesman for Findeisen’s Farms and most recently with Continental Baking Company.
During World War II he served his country in the U.S. Navy and at war’s
end was the recipient of the American Theatre Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and the Asiatic Pacific Medal with one star.
Mr. St. Laurent was a member of the Teamsters Union, enjoyed woodworking, traveling, gardening, and was an avid sports fan.
The widower of Eileen F. (Keegan) St. Laurent. Oliver is survived by children Paul and wife Rita, Michael St. Laurent, James and wife Claudette, Mary and husband Michael Whittaker, Joanne St. Laurent, David and wife Karen, Judith and husband Brian Murphy, Kevin and wife Lisa, and Eileen and husband Craig LaBrecque, one sister Constance Bourget, one brother Bernard St. Laurent ,24 grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Oliver was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa Church 33 Plymouth Street Methuen, Ma. 01844. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
Friends will be warmly received on Friday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
