Beloved Wife of the late Joseph E. Gilmartin. Loving Mother of Janet R. Gilmartin-Ono of New York City, New York. Sister of Evelyn and her husband Woodworth Jenkins of Dennis. Devoted Grandmother Jennie Gilmartin-Ono , Medical Student at University at Buffalo. Ruth is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Wednesday in Wollaston Congregational Church, 48 Winthrop Avenue, Quincy at 10am.
Visiting hours Tuesday 3-5 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home , 785 Hancock Street, WOLLASTON .
Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
Ruth was a very active member of her church, Wollaston Congregational, she also worked as the church secretary from 1952-1971 , she was a member of the church Altar committee as well as a member of the Womens Union & Tri W, which were womens groups at her church. Ruth also worked as a secretary at Topless & Harding Insurance Brokerage Co. Ruth also worked at a Chinese Church in Boston as a secretary for many years.
