Payne, Alvin B. Sr., 63; Jan. 27, 2012;of Hudson, formerly of Cambridge; loving husband of Florence L. (Grasty) Payne for 42 years of Hudson; devoted father of Alisa Payne of Hudson, Jamyll Payne of Hudson and Alvin B. Payne Jr. of Holliston. Born in Barbados and raised in Cambridge, son of the late Joseph and Iola (Prescod) Payne; graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School; later attended Boston College; Retired electrical engineer for Data General, Digital Equipment Corp. and several other local companies. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Saturday, Feb. 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
