Obituary

Salem: Doris L. (Louf) Dube, age 84 of Salem, died, peacefully in her sleep at home, Monday, January 30, 2012. She was the wife of Fernand J. Dube with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Omer J. and Merilda M. (Leclerc) Louf. A resident of Salem for all of her life, Doris was devoted to her family and her very large extended family. She was always there for anyone in the family who needed her. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Donald R. Dube of Toronto, Ontario, a sister, Jeannette M. Dionne of Salem, two grandchildren, Crystale A. Wozniak and her husband Adam of Peabody, and Matthew T. Verrette of Salem, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Diane Verrette, and three brothers, Armand, Roger and Fernand Louf.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem, to be followed by her funeral mass in St. James Church, 156 Federal St, Salem at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
