Christine Ann Bryan was born into this world on December 23, 1959. Christine was born of the heart to the late Robert and Shirley Oates. Christ sent his angels on January 29, 2012 to take Christine home.
Christine attended Southern Wayne High School in Dudley, North Carolina where she obtained her high school diploma at age 16. Throughout the years, Christine enjoyed helping others and was known to many for her encouraging words and kind and loving spirit. After giving her life to God 18 years ago, Christine became an active member at St. John's Christian Church in Groton. Christine loved the word of God and never hesitated to pass the word on to others. One of Christine's favorite movies of all time was "The Color Purple" which she laughed and cried with her sister Sherri about on a daily basis. Christine also enjoyed her time in the kitchen and many people will miss her famous triple chocolate cake, 7-up cake, and banana pudding.
Christine's life on Earth will always be remembered by many, especially her loving family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory husband of 33 years Harold Bryan; sons Ishmael Bryan, Jerome Robinson, Harold Bryan Jr., Darrell Bryan, and Raliek McLaughlin; daughters Bernadine Bryan and Ratisha McLaughlin; one sister Sherri Peake; two brothers Ricco Stoute and Nacoma Jackson; 13 grandkids; two great-grandkids; one aunt Elizabeth Hall-Hurley, and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at St. John's Christian Church, 346 Shennecossett Rd, Groton on Monday from 9am until the start of her Home Going Service at 11am. Burial will be private.
