Genevieve (Moreira) Marcelino, age 84 of Assonet passed away Jan. 30, 2012. She was the wife of the late Carmino Marcelino and the daughter of the late Manuel and Anna (Duarte) Moreira. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Marcelino worked as a Buck Presser in the Garment Manufacturing Industry. She was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Linda Pinault (husband Gerald) of Assonet and Michael Marcelino (wife Lori) of Rehoboth; 4 grandsons: Brian & Brad Pinault, Jacob & Jeremy Marcelino; 2 sisters: Margaret Goodall of Miami, FL & Irene Thigpen of Georgia; many nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise LeHourex, Manuel Moreira Jr., Joseph Moreira, Eva Miranda, & Mary Golden.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on THURSDAY at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours WEDNESDAY 4-8 P.M.
