Dora (DeAcetis) DiCenso, age 87, of Tewksbury, formerly of Revere died peacefully at her home in the company of her loving family, after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Sulmona, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and the late Maria (DiPietro) DeAcetis. A seamstress with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, before her retirement, Dora loved to garden, cook and share time and travel with her family
The beloved wife of the late Domenic V. DiCenso, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage, she was a devoted mother to Anna O'Brien of Billerica, Rita Prevost and her husband Stephen of Tewksbury. She was a loving grandmother to Janeen, James and Jennifer O'Brien, Matthew McGonigle, Emily and Rachel Prevost and a dear sister to Gino DeAcetis, the late Pasquale DeAcetis, Algissa Quaraglia and Nerina DiCenso.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, February 2nd at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 660 Washington St., Revere, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett.
