Licia (Fontana) Puccini, of Medford, died peacefully Friday at Courtyard Nursing Care Center. She was 91.
Born and raised in Vico Pancellorum, Lucca, Italy she was the daughter of the late Amanzio and the late Adelaide (Biocchi) Fontana. As a young woman she came to the United States and lived in the South End and Roxbury before settling in Medford. For many years she worked in the Dining Services Department at Tufts University before she retired. Licia was devoted to her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
The beloved wife of the late Romeo Puccini, she leaves her devoted son, Anthony Puccini of Medford. She was the dear sister of the late Rino Fontana and leaves her niece Elena Fontana-Amirault and her husband John.
Her funeral procession will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, February 1st at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4 thru 8 PM.
