Josefa Perez, 93, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St's Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
She was born in Falla, Cuba to Manuel & Antolina (Rocha) Triana.
Josefa was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband of 31 years Dagoberto J. Perez MD, a Brother: Lorenzo Triana, and a Sister: Micaela de la Cruz.
Survivors include her children: Carmen Lee (Joe) and Manuel Perez (Lisbeth); 5 Grandchildren: Heather McKell, Dagoberto Gray, Nicholas Perez, Alan Perez (Christina), and Danielle Perez; 5 Great Grandchildren; a Sister: Fidela Martin (Alberto) and a cousin: Aurora Perez.
Josefa emigrated to the US from Cuba in 1962 with her husband after having sent their children in 1961 ahead of them. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday (Feb 3, 2012) at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Thursday 2 - 8 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
