Obituary

Marianne “Marion” (Marinelli) Connors passed away on January 27, 2012. She was 78 years old.

Born in East Boston, Marion lived there for a short time before moving to Malden where she has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Malden High School class of 1951 and worked in the banking industry for many years. Her last job was working with her daughter at Curtains by Paula, which she loved.

Marion was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Connors. She was the beloved mother of Paula Savage and her husband John of Middleton, James Connors and his wife Lisa of Clifton Park, NY and Jean Connors and her partner Sharon Gale of South Orleans. Marion was the dear sister of Natha Giannattasio and her husband Mike of Wakefield, Frances Kelly of Malden, Joanne Gasparello of Malden and the late Dorothy Driscoll, Ann Ventura and Andrew Marinelli. She was the sister-in-law of Dan Driscoll of Melrose and Al Ventura of Peabody and the cherished grandmother of John, Jimmy and Jenna Savage, Ryan and Kristen Connors and Olivia Connors-Gale.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, February 1st at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, January 31st from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be private.
