
Natalie L. (Cole) Powell, 81, formerly of Worcester, died Friday, January 27th in Beaumont Nursing Center, Westborough. Her husband of 40 years, Theodore W. Powell died in 2007. She leaves a daughter, Tammy L. MacDonald and her husband Thomas of Southborough; two sons, Lawrence S. Jones and his wife Claire of Charlton and Timothy C.W. Powell and his fiancee Heather of Worcester; eight grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Charles G. Jones, in 1997 and a brother, Rev. Lawrence W. Cole in 2011.
She was born in Waltham, the daughter of Harold W. and Olga M. (Edwards) Cole and graduated from Walker High School in Liberty, ME. She was a longtime resident of Worcester’s Columbus Park neighborhood. Natalie was a former member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and St. Michael’s on the Heights Church. She enjoyed dancing, cooking for her family and spending time in Maine.
The funeral is Wednesday, February 1st with a service at 10:30 A.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
