Tamara Thompson, 35, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at the Medical Central of Central Georgia in Macon, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 29, 2004, at Crossview Baptist Church with Rev. David Fisher and Rev. Greg Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Eureka Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 Sunday evening.
Miss Thompson was born May 7, 1968, in Brunswick, Georgia, to Jimmy G. Thompson and Linda Fletcher. She was a former resident of Moultrie, Georgia. Miss Thompson was a Police Officer with the Tifton Police Department She was a 1986 graduate of Irwin County High School, attended North Georgia College and was a graduate of the Police Academy at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Miss Thompson was a member of Crossview Baptist Church in Fitzgerald.
Miss Thompson is survived by her mother: Linda Fletcher, Fitzgerald; father and mother: Jimmy G. and Rosemary Thompson, Irwin County; three sisters: Tisha (Russell) Hullett, Irwin County, Tammie Harper, Irwin County and Melissa Givens, Denton, GA; niece: Mammie’s Precious Angel, Hunter Brooke Hullett, Irwin County; grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. J.O. Thompson, Darien, GA. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Ometta Fletcher, and great grandparents, Hughie D. and Pearlie Mae Fletcher.
