NEW BEDFORD – Arleen Smith, 62, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012. She was the wife of Steven M. Smith of New Bedford.
She was the loved mother of John Delucca, husband of Patti of Dartmouth, Kerri Lariviere, wife of Kevin of E. Freetown and Ryan Smith of New Bedford. Arleen was the sister of Darrah LaBrode of New Bedford, Hedi Audette of Fairhaven, Rita Farland of Dartmouth and the late Edmund Mello. Mrs. Smith also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Taylor, Makenzie, Madison, Tori, Aiden and Avery.
Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Edmund and Rita (Dubois) Mello. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life.
Mrs. Smith’s funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Monday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery #2. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and Friends are invited.
In lieu of flowers donations to the family to pay for the funeral expenses will be greatly appreciated.
