Martinez, GA---Mrs. Ruth Josephine Ford McClendon, 87, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at University Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at West View Cemetery with Father Michael Lubinsky officiating.
Mrs. McClendon was preceded in death by her husband, Helmer Eugene McClendon, Sr., son, Helmer Eugene McClendon, Jr. and daughter, Joan Gail McClendon Luckey.
She is survived by her son in law, Gerald W. Luckey, Sr. of Martinez, GA, four grandchildren, Deborah Luckey Hill, Gerald Wayne Luckey, Jr., Helmer Eugene McClendon III and Jodi McCLendon Odom and thirteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
