In Lakeville, formerly of Winthrop Street in Taunton, January 22, 2012 Mary (Zlonkiewicz) Sankey wife of the late William J. Sankey died at Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville at the age of 96. Born and educated in No Dighton, Mary was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Litwin) Zlonkiewicz. Mary was former the owner of Sankey’s Milk Bottle on Winthrop Street in Taunton. She was the mother of William Sankey and his wife Karen of Plymouth and Sandra Lyions and her husband Patrick of Waterville, Ohio. Grandmother of Scott Lyions, Kathleen Gummer, Robert Lyions, James Lyions, Cristen Abrams, Rebecca Murphy, Daniel Sankey and great grandmother of thirteen. Sister of Catherine Peterson of Taunton and the late John, Peter, Joseph and Anna Zlonkiewicz. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Thursday, January 26th at 10 AM. Funeral Mass will be held at St Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 11 AM. Calling hours will be on Wed from 5-7 PM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 269, Alexandra, VA, 22313.
