William E. “Bill” Gauthier, 69, of Westport died Saturday, January 21, 2011 after a brief illness. He was the husband of Mary L. (Alexander) Gauthier and the son of the late Joseph O. Gauthier and Mildred N. (King) Gauthier.
Born in New Bedford, Mr. Gauthier was a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Gauthier worked for Alden Corrugated Box Factory for thirty years, as a nurse’s aide for seven years, and as a school bus driver for six years. He enjoyed bike riding, fishing, playing pool and doing puzzles.
Survivors besides his wife include his son: William E. Gauthier, Jr. of Westport; 2 daughters: Debra LaComb of New Bedford and Kelly Alves of Dartmouth; a step-daughter Dawn Henricks of New Bedford; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
