WEBSTER - Helen S. (Lazarowski) Baron, 93, of Webster, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Hubbard Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Her husband of 45 years, Walter J. Baron, died in 1993.
She leaves a son, Walter W. Baron and his wife Marilyn J. of North Brookfield; 2 daughters, Jane H. Baron, with whom she lived, and Carol A. Whaley and her husband Bruce of Westborough; 4 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; 2 brothers, John Lazarowski of East Hartford, CT and Stanley Lazarowski and his wife Sue of Mountain Home, Idaho; 4 sisters, Stasia Nalepa and Genevieve Lariviere and her husband Adelard, all of Webster, and Theresa Jezierski and her husband Stanley and Anna Scanlon, all of N. Grosvenordale, CT; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Lazarowski on December 25, 2010.
She was born and raised in Dudley, a daughter of Stanislaw and Kazimiera (Kozlowski) Lazarowski. She lived in Webster since her marriage in 1948.
Mrs. Baron’s talent was sewing. She worked at Stevens Linen Associates in Dudley for many years. She then devoted her time to raising her family. She also taught sewing class at the Bartlett High Evening School for several years.
She was a communicant of Saint Joseph Basilica, and was a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality, Sacred Heart Society, Saint Anne Society and the St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 24, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a concelebrated Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday, January 23, in the funeral home.
