TEWKSBURY - James M. “Jim” Boles, age 53, a former truck driver, died Thursday, Mar. 25, atSaints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell after a year long battle with cancer.
He was born in Everett, MA, Oct. 8, 1950, the son of Everett W. Boles of Tewksbury and thelate Claire E. (Burke) Boles. He was a lifelong resident of Tewksbury and graduated TewksburyMemorial High School.
He was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army’s K-9 Forces, where he attainedthe rank of Sargent.
He worked as a truck driver for several area firms until illness forced his retirement last year.
He was also a member of the Fr. Coppen’s Council, 4336, Knights of Columbus in Tewksbury.
Besides his father, he is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Margaret Palen of Barnegat,N.J., Geraldine and her husband Eugene “Gino” Bergeron of Warren, MA; two nephews, ZacharyBergeron, and Sean Palen; a niece, Stacy Palen; two grand nephews, Sean Jr. and Tommy; andseveral aunts and cousins.
A Memorial Service was held Saturday, Mar. 27, in the funeral home. Followingcremation, interment will be private.
