John E. Perry Jr., a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, passed on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. He was born in Westerly, RI on February 4, 1929 to John E. Perry, Sr. and Sarah J. Williams-Perry.
John was predeceased by his sisters Laura Jackson, Bertha Bowens, Lydia Fells and Dorothy Fells. He is survived by his wife Shirley A. Perry, his children, Deborah Gregoire, Cheryl Allen, John E. Perry, III and Rebecca Perry-Levy and numerous grand children, great grand children and grand-nephews James Jackson and Leonard Fells.
Services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center located at 110 Pequot Trail, Mashantucket, Connecticut. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral services immediately following. Burial will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery, Route 27, in Mystic, Connecticut.
