Mary B. (Ferdinand) Dillen, 77, of Medway, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham. She was the wife of David M. Dillen who died in 1995.
Born in Boston on April 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Morgado) Ferdinand.
Mrs. Dillen was a resident of Medway since 1976 and formerly resided in Franklin. She was a nurse’s aide at area nursing homes and hospitals for many years.
Mrs. Dillen was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #75 in Old Town, ME and Post #367 in Medway. She loved dancing and singing and enjoyed cake decorating and ceramics.
She is survived by six children, David P. Dillen of Greenbush, ME, Marie E. DeBaggis of Petaluma, CA, James M. Dillen of Norwood, Timothy M. Dillen of Davie, FL, Michelle A. DeBaggis of Franklin and Thomas J. Dillen of Natick.
She is also survived by two sisters, Margie Berniker of Ellsworth, ME and Joanne Gyukeri of Mesa, AZ, a brother Robert Ferdinand of Minneapolis, MN, seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, January 21 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m.
