Kenneth J. Britland, age 73 of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 12, 2012. He was the beloved husband to Margaret (Panchley) Britland and the son of the late James & Agnes (Kenney) Britland. Prior to retiring, Mr. Britland worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years.
He served in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne Division, where he completed more than 20 successful jumps, during the Vietnam Conflict as a PVT-2. He was a member of the Italian Progressive Club, an avid sports fan, and he enjoyed gardening.
Besides his wife of Fall River, survivors include his children: Kimberly K. Misturado of Fall River, Melinda “Mindy” Santos (companion Adelino Macedo) of Westport Point, and Barry K. Britland of Fall River; grandchildren: Brendan, Brett, & Blake Misturado, Nicholas Santos (wife Vanessa), and Lindsay Santos (fiancé Hugh Kenworthy IV); great grandchildren: Olivia L. Santos & Hugh Kenworthy V; brothers: James Britland of Fall River & Florida, & John Britland of Fall River; several nieces & nephews.
