Obituary

Maurice P. Peloquin, 76, of Blackstone and formerly of Franklin died January 12 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Sylvia (Talamini) Peloquin.
Born in Woonsocket, December 1, 1935, the son of the late Ernest A. and Marie A. (Gelinas) Peloquin, Mr. Peloquin was raised in Woonsocket and had lived most of his life in Franklin prior to moving to Blackstone 2 years ago.
He had worked as a material cutter for the Homer Alden Company for over 50 years before retiring. He then worked for 3 years at Molloy’s Gas Station in Franklin.
Mr. Peloquin served in the Army during the late 1950’s, attaining the rank of E-4.
He enjoyed collecting Avon bottles, the Red Sox, Patriots and New York Giants.
He also enjoyed outings to Cape Cod and Foxwoods and time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Joann Gouthro and her husband Mel of Franklin and Susan Peloquin of Blackstone with whom he and his wife lived for the past 2 years.
He is also survived by his sister Jeanette Mulcahy of California and was the brother of the late Charles, Norman and Robert Peloquin and Lillian Grenier.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer and great-grandchild Jordan.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14 in St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at Noon.
Calling hours and burial will be private.
