Richard D. Marks, 56, of Pascoag Main St. died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. He was born in Providence, a son of Thomas Marks of Harrisville, and the late Mary (Drainville) Marks. Richard was a mason tender for Major Masonry Inc. He was a member of the Local 271 Laborers Union for over ten years. Richard was an avid sports fan since childhood and could recite many statistics for the Red Sox and Patriots. Richard graduated with the class of 1974 at North Smithfield Junior Senior High School.
Besides his father he leaves two brothers, James J. Marks of Lovell, ME and Robert L. Marks of Slatersville, a sister Patricia Conary of Pascoag, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Thomas Marks III, Michael Marks and Chirstopher Marks.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Good Help Church, Victory Hwy., Mapleville, RI. Burial will be held in St. John's Cemetery in Slatersville. Visiting hours are Wednesday 6-8 PM.
