Martha Lee Ross Harris Bowen, 60, of Tifton died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Pastor Samuel Pridgon will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 13, 2012, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Bowen was born on November 27, 1951 in Winnsboro, Louisiana and was the daughter of Dave Ross, Sr. and Bessie Wilkins Ross, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jayla Smith; one brother, Charles Ross; and one sister, Shainne Debra Noel. She was retired from Master Corporation.
Mrs. Bowen is survived by her husband, Rodney Eugene Bowen of Tifton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Stephan Michael Harris of Memphis, Tennessee and Quincy Jardell and Crystal Harris of Cary, North Carolina; one daughter and son-in-law, April and Joel Smith of Williamsburg, Virginia; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Dillard Sr. and Rita Ross, Michael Ross and Dave Ross, Jr., all of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Matthew and Denise Ross of Memphis, Tennessee; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Patsy and Donald Braxton of Sulphur, Louisiana, Glenda Ross Bennett of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Marlene Grace and Brian Kelley of Tifton; six grandchildren, Stephan Ross, Jr., Nicholas Harris, Christian Harris, Brandon Harris, Joel Lee Smith III and Jayla Smith; one great-grandchild, Stephan Harris III; three sisters-in-law, Ethel Ross, Shirley Martin and Nona Harris; a brother-in-law, Jerry Noel; with a host of friends, nieces and nephews.
