Obituary

Artin Apar of Plainville, passed away unexpectedly January 8, 2012 on his 60th birthday.
Born in Turkey, Artin came to the United States in 1967 at age 16. He lived for many years in Lawrence, working in the Lawrence Maid Shoe Factory. Later he moved to Hyde Park, West Roxbury and then Plainville. Artin worked for 22 years as a driver for the Near East Baking Co. of West Roxbury. He was an avid fisherman and boater in Buzzards Bay. He loved life and spending time with family and friends, especially around the holidays. He enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Twin River. What Artin enjoyed most was the special time he spent with his beloved granddaughter Kayleigh. He was always the life of the party and he truly had a heart of gold.

Artin was the dear and devoted husband of Carol (Ayoub). Loving father of Deborah Healy and her husband Kevin of Franklin, and Sarkis Apar and his girlfriend Kristy Moore of Plainville. Beloved grandfather, “DeDe” of Kayleigh Apar. Dear brother of Kirkor Apar of Turkey, Oscar Apar of NH, Nuvart Tokat of France, Arshalos Sezer of Turkey, Sultan Aksu of Turkey, Elmas Simsek of Lawrence and the late Setrak “Mike” Aprahamyan. Dear son-in-law of Evelyn Ayoub of West Roxbury. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Artin's Funeral Service was held Wednesday January 11, 2012 at St. James Armenian Apostolic Church in Watertown.

Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
