Mrs. Margaret N. Dunton, age 82 of Medford, formerly of Allston died Tuesday in the Southeast Rehab in North Easton. She is the wife of the late Charles A. Dunton. Mrs. Dunton was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Currie) Christie. She is a graduate of Brighton High School, class of 1947. She was a Medford resident for most of her life spending her earlier years in Allston. She had been a waitress, employed by Catering companies to assist in function and banquet work.
Mrs. Dunton was known to be an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. At home she enjoyed television game shows and was known to take occasional trips to Foxwoods. Nothing gave her more satisfaction than family get togethers with the grand and great grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter: Robin Poor and her husband Fred of Bridgewater, two sons: Kevin Dunton of NH, Brian Dunton of CA. She leaves 3 grandchildren, Jessie, Kasey and Cameron and two great grandchildren Dani and Jacob. She is the sister of Mary Brennan and her husband Kevin of North Reading, Jackie Murphy of Franklin, William Christie and his wife Ellen of Brockton, Robert Christie of Topsfield, Laurence Christie and his wife Jamie of WA
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday Jan 7 in the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main Street Medford 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
