New Bedford – Mary L. “Lucy” Albino, age 92, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late John Albino. Mrs. Albino was the mother of the late Alan Albino, husband of Donna of New Bedford. She was the sister-in-law of Hilda Albino and Elsie Sacramento both of New Bedford
Mrs. Albino was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Encarnacao) Ferreira. She was born in New Bedford and lived here all of her life. Her family, friends and the family dog, Schatzi, were her greatest loves. “Lucy” also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and was an avid reader. Mrs. Albino worked as an assembler at John I. Paulding, Inc. until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Goodyear Senior Citizens Club and the Freetown VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Albino’s funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Friday with services to begin at 11:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and Friends are invited.
