Funeral services for Janie Beasley Pate, 76 , of Sycamore, Ga. will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Pate died Tuesday at her residence in Sycamore following an extended illness.
Mrs. Pate was born in Ashburn and was the daughter of the late Henry Grady and Pinkey Jane Fountain Beasley. She retired from M. & W. Sportswear with over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church in Ashburn. She enjoyed reading her Bible, all of Elvis Presley movies and music. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and Yahtzee. She was the widow of the late Frank M. Pate.
Mrs. Pate is survived by three daughters and sons-in-laws: Tammy & Billy Dalrymple, Sycamore, Ga., Tina Little, Tifton, Ga. and Pam & Russell West of Sycamore. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Amy & Will Pierce, Jessi & Brandon Holley, Logan Little, Ashley, Whitney, & Russ West; four great grandchildren, and two sisters, Lillis Lavender and Virginia Pate, both of Ashburn, Ga.; and close friends, Horace & Betty Dean, Ashburn, Ga.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, Ga.
