Obituary

Francisco "Frank" Botelho, 88, of New Bedford died March 22, 2004 at Alden Court Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

He was the husband of Angelina (Barboza) Botelho.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Daniel J. and Amelia Lopes (Amancio) Botelho, and lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Mr. Botelho was a communicant of St. John The Baptist Church.

He was formerly employed by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 31 years until his retirement.

Mr. Botelho served in the US Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Patrick M. Botelho, and his wife Janice, of West Greenwich, RI and Francis D. Botelho, and his wife Donna, of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Anna Saulnier, Helen Mello and Hilda Candido all of Dartmouth; 4 grandchildren, Francis Botelho, Jr., Robert Botelho, Melinda Botelho and Tracy Viara; 4 great-grandchildren, Mykayla DeCosta, Matthew DeCosta, Emma Botelho and Jessica Viara; several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Manuel J. Botelho and Daniel Botelho.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordThursday, March 25th at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours Wednesday, March 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

Interment St. John's Cemetery.
