Hazel M. (Gladman) Goguen, age 84, of Natick, a loving mother and grandmother, died on Monday morning, January 2, 2012, at Riverbend of South Natick after a long illness.
Born, raised and educated in Waltham, she was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Chambers) Gladman. She had been employed with Berry Controls of Waltham for over twenty years.
Hazel married Robert M. Goguen in 1949 and the couple made their home in Waltham prior to settling in Natick in 1976. After retiring from Berry, she decided to make a change and became a home health aide with TLC. Hazel enjoyed her new career and found working with her clients very rewarding. A quiet family oriented lady, she was happiest at home caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband in 1997, she is survived by a daughter, Diane M. Fielding and husband Kenneth of Natick; two grandchildren, Cynthia DeWolfe of Bellingham, and David Fielding of Natick; three great-grandchildren, Rachel, Jennifer and Kaily; two brothers, George Gladman of Waltham, and Bernard Gladman of FL; and a sister, Shirley McAdams of Falmouth. She was also the sister of the late Walter and William Gladman.
Her funeral service will be at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Thursday, January 5th at 10:00a.m. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
