Stella (Galofaaro) Costa, 89 of Medford died Sunday in the Winthrop House Medford, MA.
Born in Augusta, Italy, and formerly of the West End of Boston she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Giuseppa (Cannava) Galofaro. Stella was a Trimer for 30 years with Baron-Abramson in Boston’s garment district and retired in 1979.
Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Costa. Devoted mother of Andrea Costa of Stoneham, Vincent Costa of Italy, Frances Fricia of Medford, MaryAnn Peters of CT and the late Gaetana Marchese. Also survived 15 loving grandchildren and 7 loving great grandchildren. Sister of the late Maria, Filomena, Giuseppe, Francesco, Santo, and Vincenzo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 -8.
Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
