Marlboro, Ma – Bernard W. Dowling, 78 died December 28, 2011 at the Marlboro Hill Healthcare Center.
Bernie was born in Lawrence, Ma. the son of Ernest J. and Elizabeth (Kinmond) Dowling.
For many years, and prior to his retirement Mr. Dowling was a Driver for Foreign Motors West in Natick, Ma.
During Korea he served his country in the United States Army 205th Military Police Company before his honorable discharge in 1955.
Bernard served as past commander of the Natick VFW Post 1274.
Survivors include his brother Ernest J. Dowling of Kingston, NH, and his sister Dorothy Humphries of Missouri and many niece s and nephews.
A Funeral service will take place on Friday at 12 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen and burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
Friends will be warmly received on Friday morning from 9:45 AM -11:45 AM at the funeral home.
