
Bonnie Ruth Crum Pope, 84, of Macon, formerly of Tifton, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Willson Hospice House in Albany. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Pastor Eddie Shumate will officiate with burial to follow in Union Grove Church of God Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Pope was born on July 19, 1927 in Tift County and was the daughter of Perry Mack Crum and Addie Lee Alexander Crum, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon Daniel Pope; one brother, Dewey Crum; and one grandson, Jeremy Shumate. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Bloomfield Church of God in Macon.
Mrs. Pope is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Larry Kimbrel of Leesburg, Melba and Clinton Woods of Columbus, Mary Helen and Eddie Shumate of Eatonton and Pamela and Michael Hawks of Cataula; one sister, Annell Livingston of Tifton; nine grandchildren, Clinton Daniel Woods, Stephanie Woods Shiver, Eric Preston Carpenter, Cherie Bailey, Adecia Shumate, Benjamin Shumate, Nicholas Shumate, Shelby Northcut Bradfield and Lindsay Northcutt; and nine great-grandchildren.
