Obituary

BRADFORD: Kathleen A. (Kelly) Strangman, 66, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, December 27, 2011.
Born in Haverhill on June 12, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (McAuliffe) Kelly. She was a resident of Bradford for thirty-three years. She attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1964.
Kathleen was the manager for many years at the Bradford Depot Laundromat. She was well known by all the frequent customers who used the laundromat over the years. Her friendly face and helpful ways will surely be missed by all who knew her. An animal lover, she had a big heart when it came to a cat in need and had adopted and rescued many cats over the years. She enjoyed making sure they were taken care of and not just disregarded. Also in her free time she enjoyed reading books and taking scenic coastal rides with her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Ann Jolivet of Avondale, AZ; five nephews, Peter Wagner and his wife, Kate of Arlington, VA, Stephen Wagner and his wife, Susanna of Haslett, MI, Robert and Michael Wagner both of Brooklyn, NY and Paul Wagner and his wife, Lee; a niece, Mary Wagner of Montclair, NJ and a great-nephew, Kieran Wagner of Arlington, VA. She was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Kelly.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 52 Salem Street, Bradford at 6 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4 – 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Massachusetts Humane Society, P.O. Box 890127, East Weymouth, MA 02189.
