Robert "Bob" M. Costa of New Hampshire, formerly of Taunton, age 82, died at his home on December 30, 2011. He was born in Taunton where he lived most of his life. He was the son of the late Moren and Mary (Rose) Costa. He was the father of Christine Mealy, Gail Briggs, Karan Costa, Susan Costa, Nancy Dermody, Sandra Dean, Diane Costa, and Robert M. Costa Jr. He was the brother of Anna Freelove of Dighton, Ronald Costa of Taunton and the late Carol Siliva and long time companion of Audrey Brady. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Robert was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was the past Commander of the VFW Post in Norton and retired from the Taunton School Department as a custodian. He enjoyed stock cars, hunting and fishing.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 5, at 11:30 am in the Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St., Taunton, with visiting hours prior to the service from 10-11:30 am. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
