BURNS, Margaret E. Of St. Patrick's Manor, Framingham, formerly of Needham, December 29. Beloved daughter of the late William J. and Mary E. (Cronin) Burns.
Sister of Marion T. Dauwer and her husband Leo P. of Needham, and the late Rev. William J. Burns. Aunt of Sr. Ellen M. Dauwer of Newark, NJ, Margaret T. Powers and her husband John J., Maureen A. Motchok and her husband Douglas, all of Needham, Paul J. Dauwer and his wife Karyn M. of Duxbury.
She also leaves 8 grand nieces and nephews, Jay and Meg Powers, Elizabeth, Julie, and Joey Motchok, and Patrick, Caitlin, and Colleen Dauwer.
Margaret graduated from Emmanuel College. She entered the Order of Religious of Christian Education and taught at Jeanne d'Arc Academy in Milton. She also taught for many years in the Needham Public Schools. Margaret was a faithful parishioner at St. Bartholomew's Parish where she taught CCD classes and served as an Eucharistic Minister. Margaret was a popular and beloved teacher all her life.
Funeral Mass in the Holy Family Chapel at St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central St., Framingham (today) Friday, December 30, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation prior to Mass in the Chapel from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham. A Memorial Mass will be offered in St. Bartholomew Church, Needham, on Sunday, January 1st at 8 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Margaret's memory to the Sisters of Charity Development Office, POBOX 476, Convent Station, NJ 07961-0476; or to St. Patrick's Manor, Framingham.
