Wilfred “Willy” Guilmette, 84, of Dartmouth died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Dartmouth, he was son of the late Alfred Guilmette, Sr. and the late Leontine (Lepage) Guilmette. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, he was a laborer for a roofing company. Mr. Guilmette attended St. George Church, Westport. He was a former Golden Gloves boxer and American True Fox Hunter.
Survivors include his loving companion: Barbara Fritz and many nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Germaine “Jimmy” Guilmette, Alfred Guilmette, Jr., Arthur Guilmette, Sr. and Jeanne Forest.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 3 - 7 P.M.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
