Obituary

Mrs. Carmela (Colletta) Scattino, 83, passed on Wednesday December 28th. Her husband Giuseppe Scattino preceded her on January 22, 2008.

Carmela leaves behind two daughters, Santa Cavalieri and her husband Paul, Lucia Dallair and her husband Joseph, two sons, Michael Scattino and his wife Mattea, Pasquale Scattino and his wife Theresa all of Worcester; a sister, Francesca Colletta Grillo; and a brother, Leonardo Colletta both of Italy; nine grandchildren, Stephen Cavalieri, Joseph Cavalieri, Michael Cavalieri, Lisa Cavalieri, Carmela Scattino, Isabella Scattino, Joseph Dallair, Andrew Dallair, and Anthony Dallair; six great grandchildren, Briana Cavalieri, Madison Moran, Jernette Cavalieri, Matthew Cavalieri, Joshua Ortiz, and Jania Brown; also many nieces and nephews in America and Italy.

Carmela was pre-deceased by three sisters, Lucia, Antonietta, and Luisa Colletta, and by a brother Ignazio Colletta.

She was born May 10, 1928 in Vieste Foggia, Italy a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Michelina Colletta.

Carmela was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved cooking and enjoying her family time. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel – St Ann Church.

Her funeral will be held Monday January 2nd from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester with a Funeral Mass at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel – St Ann Church in Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be at the Funeral Home, Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M. Fazio Jr. and Louis M.
