Alice Mae Meyer, 86 of Louisville passed away December 28, 2011 at Green Meadows Nursing Home. She was the former Alice Dumelding.
She was a sales clerk for the former Stewarts Department Store, a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a huge football fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George F. Meyer, Jr. and son-in-law, John Ouellette.
She is survived by her children; Janice Ann Ouellette, Betty Jean Thompson (Philip) and George F. Meyer, III “Buddy” (Sherry), grandchildren; Scott Thompson (Megan), Jean Marie Hummel (Bobby), John Ouellette (Jennifer), Brian Ouellette (Meegan) and Jessica Meyer, great-grandchildren; Alex Hummel, Olivia Hummel and Emma and Gracie Ouellette.
Funeral Mass 11:00 am, Monday, January 2, 2011 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY. Visitation 2-8 pm, Sunday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. The family would like to express their thanks to all the Caregivers at Green Meadows Nursing Home who helped during Mrs. Meyer’s illness.
