Auburn- Mary M. (Nugent) Wrubel, 84, of 18 Pickering St., died Saturday, March 20, in her home.
Her husband, Stanley A. Wrubel, died in 1971. She leaves a brother, John E. Nugent of Leicester; a niece, Frances X. Wishart of Glastonbury, CT, who was like a daughter to her; several other nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Thomas and Nicholas Nugent, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Patrick and Anastasia (O’Dwyer) Nugent and lived here many years. She graduated from Commerce High School.
Mrs. Wrubel was a junior accountant at Massachusetts Electric for more than 30 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a member of North American Martyrs Parish and the Auburn Senior Steppers.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, March 23, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Dr. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 22, in the funeral home.
