Seabrook, NH - Esther Mae “Sis” (Shaw)(Olson) Ganshirt, 71, died Sunday, Feb. 17, at the AnnaJacques Hospital in Newburyport after a brief illness. She was the wife of Charles H. “Charlie”Ganshirt, who died on July 11, 2000.
She was born in Marion, South Carolina, October 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Charles andLeona (Richardson) Shaw. She was raised in S.C., lived in Tewksbury for more than 40 years,and retired to Seabook, NH, 19 years ago.
As a resident of Tewksbury, she was a member of the Tewksbury Congregational Church.
She devoted her life to her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Olson of Tyngsboro, Robin McDevitt of Plaistow, NH,two sons and daughters-in-law, Alexander “Allie” and Janice (Thorne) Olson of Tewksbury,Wayne Olson and Carol Greene of Lowell, four sisters, Margaret Williams, Sadie Poplin, BettyParker, Eleanor Martin all of S.C. one brother, Frank Shaw of S.C., 10 grandchildren, and 3 greatgrandchildren.
She was also mother of the late Robert E. Olson Jr., and grandmother of the late Robert D.Olson.
Her funeral service was held Thursday, Feb. 21, in the Funeral Home. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
