Deolinda “Lena” (Silvia) Barboza, age 94 of Fall River & formerly of Somerset, passed away Dec. 23, 2011. She was the wife of the late Manuel Barboza and the daughter of the late Cesaro & Maria (Santos) Silvia. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Barboza worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for the former Narraganset Mills. She was also a past parishioner of St. John of God Church.
Mrs. Barboza was the mother of Helen Mello of Somerset and the late Manuel J. Barboza Sr.; the sister of John Silvia of Fall River, Joseph Silvia & Emma Medeiros both of Somerset, the late Manuel Silvia, & the late Josephine Correia. She was also the grandmother of 4, great grandmother of 5, the grandmother to 1 late grandson, and aunt to several nieces & nephews.
