Obituary

George A. Fowler age 81 of Salem, NH, died Thursday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.

He was born in Newton, MA. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 15 years, formerly of Tewksbury, MA.

He was a US Navy Veteran of World War 2, serving in the Pacific Theatre and at the Philippine Liberation, He was a member of the VFW Post 8546 in Salem, NH, and a member of the AARP.

Mr. Fowler worked as a salesman at G.V. Moore Lumber Company in Ayer, MA, and also worked at the Decatur and Hopkins Hardware Supplies in Needham, MA.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Eva C. (Paulino) Fowler of Salem, NH.

1 Son: Robert J. & his wife Nancy Fowler of Lowell, MA.

1 Daughter: Barbara A. & her husband Gary Schmottlach of Salem, NH.

2 Brothers: James H. Fowler Jr. of Waltham, MA and Kenneth R. Fowler of Watertown, MA.

1 Sister: Agnes Dupuis of Waltham, MA.

4 Grandchildren: Eric J. Schmottlach, Marc T. Schmottlach, Mary E. Fowler, and Matthew R. Fowler.

Several Nieces & Nephews

He was predeceased by brothers William and John Fowler.

He was also predeceased Sisters Mary Cuniff and Loretta Powers.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 22, 2004 at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 21, 2004 from 3-6 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
