Obituary

Regina M. Desrochers, 96, of Goffstown, died December 24, 2011 after a period of declining health.
She was born December 19, 1915 to Alonzo and Exilda (Lemay) Charest, and had been a lifelong resident.
For many years Regina had worked at the Puritan Restaurant on Elm St, the Derryfield Country Club, and Hillsborough County Nursing Home.
In here early years she was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary. She also was a member of the William B. Cashin Activity Center, as well as a member of the Parish of Transfiguration.
She was an avid viewer of the Wheel of Fortune, bowling, but her passion lied with the Boston Red Sox, and was known to read the daily Union Leader starting with the sports page. Her hobbies were bingo, occasional trips to Foxwoods, beading and developed a love of reading. She was a life longtime member of the former St. Edmond Parish, most recently the Parish of the Transfiguration..
Family members include her children, Raymond Desrochers, of TX, Helen T. Custeau, and her husband Thomas G. Hartly, of Goffstown, Louise D. Hawthorne and husband Ronald of Enfield and FL, Pauline McMaster, and her husband Robert, Paul Desrochers, and his fiancée Teryl Zimmermann, both of Goffstown; her grandchildren, Christopher, Lisa, Janet, Sharon, Kelly Shawn; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, Jordan, Emma, Dylan, Shane, and Catherine; a brother Leo Charest, and his wife Geraldine, of Manchester; her brother in-law, Andrew Desrochers, of TX, a sisters-in-law Angela Desrochers, Lillian Desrochers, both of Goffstown; several nieces nephews and cousins; extended family members, Eugene and Elizabeth Friedman, of Manchester. She was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Desrochers.



A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Parish of the Transfiguration 103 Alsace St. Manchester.
Private burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Goffstown Rd. Manchester
