In Raynham, December 25, 2011 Alice F. (Ward) Smith wife of the late John E. Smith died in her home on Broadway suddenly at the age of 89. Born in Taunton and educated at Taunton High School class of 1941, Alice was the daughter of the late William J. and Alice (Marley) Ward. Alice worked for the former New England Telephone Company and also worked for the Raynham-Taunton Greyhound Association for many years. Alice was a faithful communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham. She is survived by a sister, Ruth M. Lester of Raynham and the late John J. Ward Jr., William J. Ward and Gertrude Delaney. Aunt of Kathleen Pacheco and her husband Wayne of NH, Linda DeAngelis of Melrose, Michael Delaney of Taunton, C. Richard Ward of Medway, James Ward of Danvers, William Ward of Taunton and the late John Ward, and several grand nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday, December 28th at 9:30 AM. A Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11 AM.
