In East Taunton, December 23, 2011 Carolyn A. (Butler) wife of William E. “Bill” Sadlier died in her home with her family by her side at the age of 68. Born in Taunton, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Edmund and Alice (Galligan) Butler. She was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1961 and Taunton Vocational School of Nursing class of 1966. Carolyn was a retired LPN for Hannah B. Griffith Shaw Nursing Home in Middleboro and before that worked for Wedgemere Nursing Home in Taunton, Brockton VA and Home Instead Sr. Care in Norton. She enjoyed playing softball with the Wedgemere Rockies, Skiing, all Boston sports teams, Animals and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn was the mother of Kim Hackett-Jones and her husband Chris of Dighton, Michael F. Hackett of Raynham and Christopher Hackett and his wife Jessica of Taunton. Step mother of Bonnie Liete and Heidi Kinney both of Berkley. Sister of M. Patricia O’Connell of Dighton Elizabeth "Betty" Jacobs of Taunton and Edmund "Ted" Butler of Norfolk, MA. Nana of Hunter, Ryan, Jared and Nathan. Step grandmother of Kaylie, Kyan, Gavin, Gabriel, Noah and Luke. Special niece of Vivian Martin of Taunton and aunt of many other nieces and nephews.
