Obituary
Mr. Bentley died Wednesday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton following a brief illness. Until recently he had been a resident of the Halifax Mobile Home Park for many years, previously he was a long time Brockton resident. Born and raised in New Bedford, son of the lte Edwin and Mary (Normandin) Bentley. Attended New Bedford schools. During WW II he served in the US Army. Retired as a journeyman plumber after many years in the Brockton area. He was a Member of the Lions Club in Abington. He enjoyed golf, fishing, camping and he was also an avid reader.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Audrey R. (Gary) Bentley, two daughters, Barbara A. Jardin of New Bedford and Carol J. Reed of Bridgewater and a son, Dr. Douglas G. Bentley of Bridgewater, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
