Mrs. Mary J. Fumicello, age 84, passed away Wednesday evening at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Attleborro following a lengthy illness. Born in Haverhill she was the daughter of the late Thomasi (DeLucca) and Silverio Schena. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore J. Fumicello. Mary was a Medford resident for over forty years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, going out for breakfast and shopping with her family. Most especially she enjoyed being around her loving grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her daughter Sandra Bartalini of Attleboro and her son Thomas Fumicello of Summerfield, FL. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren and ten loving great grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Thomas “ Jack” Schena of Abington, Rose Nesta of Brewster, Francis Barbaro, Rita Schena both of East Boston and grand niece Valerie Barbaro of East Boston.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Saturday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St. Medford/Somerville at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday evening 7 - 9. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
