Obituary

Albert L. Westhaver, Jr., 86, of Franklin died December 20 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Catherine A. (Hayes) Westhaver.
Born in Boston, October 12, 1925, the son of the late Albert L. and Barbara (Taylor) Westhaver, Mr. Westhaver had lived in Dedham for over 20 years before moving to Franklin in 1966.
Mr. Westhaver had been an engineer for the Massachusetts Municipal Electric Company in Ludlow for several years before retiring.
He had also worked for the Archer Rubber Company in Milford.
Mr. Westhaver served in the Navy during both World War II and the Korean War. He attained the rank of Water Tender Second Class.
He had been a member of the Attleboro VFW and the Masons.
He is survived by his son Albert L. Westhaver, III and his wife Shirley of Franklin and his daughter Kim Casey of Franklin.
He was the father of the late Sheryl Lynn Westhaver.
He is also survived by his brother Chipman Westhaver of Florida and his sister Doris Beaudreau of Halifax.
He was the brother of the late Barbara Mielke and Laurel Ross.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 28 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin 131 Main St. in Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
