HAMMOND, CARL THOMAS, 73, of Louisville, passed away December 19, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East.
He was retired from PSC Fabricating and was a member of Southeast Christian Church. He loved the outdoors and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Andrew Spangler; grandson, Camden Nicholas McCroskey; mother, Virginia Hammond; father, Cephas Hammond; and brothers, Eddie and Kenny Hammond.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances Hammond; sons, Tony Hammond and wife Candy; Rick Haynes; daughters, Kim Hammond Vanderhaar, Anita Free and husband, Randy; Sheila Martin and husband, Gary; brother, Paul Hammond and wife Beverly; sister, Mary Ellis; grandchildren, Matt and Brooke Hammond, Cody Russell, Patience McCroskey, Michael Fagan, Lindsey Haynes, and Lucas and Jacob Free; great grandchildren, Nathan, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Caydence, Landen, Mason, Tori and Trey; and also numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
His service will be 11am Thursday at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway. Visitation will be 2-8pm Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road.
